Our goal at Río Boise Children's Academy is to serve as a community resource, no matter a family's background or situation. To that end, we act as a not-for-profit organization, instead reinvesting in our staff, facility, and most importantly the children who attend.
We are happy to partner with Boise's Interfaith Sanctuary as part of our mission of accessibility to high-quality early learning, with several spaces in our program reserved for children currently or formerly staying at the Sanctuary. Additionally, our teachers create the curriculum and teach at their part-time preschool program to help build trusting relationships with children and families experiencing a hard time.
Our program reserves roughly half of its spaces for children whose families qualify for the Child Care Program (ICCP) subsidies. It's our belief that a diverse group of children from families of all walks of life leads to rewarding and rich experiences for all.
While ICCP does not reimburse at a rate high enough to provide a good living wage for teachers at ratios recommended by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, by filling half our capacity with market rate students we are able to offset the difference. Check out our Programs page for more information on our tuition structure.
Additionally, we are subsidized by our parent organization Le Soleil French School for Children, and although they are not (yet) tax deductible, we are welcoming of any donations from the community to help support our cause.
